is listed here for spares or repair as it has no MOT, though it wouldn`t take much work to get it through one. This is the Millenium Chrome edition of the popular Monkey Bike. If you passed your car test before 1st February 2001, you can ride this bike without doing a CBT and without L plates! This bike had been dry stored for three years and has just 1451 miles on the clock. Last week I changed the oil and spark plug, put fresh fuel in it and it fired straight up. Once warm it runs and revs fine without the choke. There are some bad bits which I will do my best to list here. We couldn`t find the keys so we removed the ignition barrel to turn the ignition on. Luckily the fuel cap and steering lock were left unlocked when we stored it, so it is just a matter of buying the replacement lock set and fitting it (there are a few listed on ebay for £15.99 + p&p). It needs a set of front indicators... these are a generic sort and our local motorcycle spares centre can supply a pair the same as are currently on the bike for £9.99. The front mudguard is a non standard item and if I am honest it`s a bit rubbish with some surface rust, some chrome cleaner brought some out but I don`t have the time to keep cleaning it to see if it will all come off. It is fitted with a Loncin 125cc engine with a proper gearbox 1 down 3 up I might add it is still registered as a 50cc so that is kind of handy. Many of the parts have been supplied by 00Racing and some by Monkey Bike UK. It has just been MOT tested and a new battery has just been fitted. The bike itself runs just fine and never fails to bring a smile to my face when out for a ride. I have been on Monkey bike runs, Ace Cafe London and Box Hill to Brighton were the more memorable fun runs. I guess I`m getting to old to have this sort of fun so it has to be sold (I`m only 57!). I am realastic and I know that a real Honda version of this machine would be worth considerably more. This started out in life a mere humble Chinese clone but I can tell you this is just as good as the real thing if not better. The bike has had little use over the last couple of years and the condition could be described as pretty much immaculate. It is here to sell so good luck with your bidding someone is going to get a bargain. I could deliver the bike locally if required as I have a van. Cash would be prefered.
