not sure as to why it is not starting, but I do not have the knowledge or time to fix it.I have used the bike regularly and when it does start it works very well. All the electrics work perfectly as does the carburation system. The front brake pads could use replacing, however it did pass its MOT with these pads so it is still safe to drive.The bike has an MOT until 30/09/2010 and is also taxed until then (although since it is from 1964, the tax is free).Please contact me if you would like more details or would like to visit it. BSA ARIEL 3 TILTING MOPED | Located a 15 min drive from Wells in Somerset In fair condition especially the engine. The pictures make it look better than it is. It needs a good wash & brushup. I believe this is a 1971- 72 model. The tyres need air and/or puncture repair, the body is not too bad and the engine looks ok. I tried to get it started and the results were:- I pedalled, puffed, panted and run out of energy without success. the spark is nice so it may be a fuel problem. This would be an interesting bike to ride and I would think quite an experience as it is a `tilting` moped, the back wheels stay on the level while the front wheel tilts sideways for cornering.
