As mentioned in the listing this was professionally converted to 1000cc (from 800cc) in 2003 at approx 50,100 mls (odometer currently reading 51220) so not really even run in yet. This is a popular, proven and worthwhile upgrade. K100 all round Europe from Portugal to Poland and regularly maintained it using recommended procedures in the Haynes workshop manual which I will be pleased to supply. I still regularly use the bike for short journeys at least once a week. The bike is always kept in a garage when not in use.The mechanics are very reliable and with the relatively low mileage will probably give many more thousands of miles without need for major repair. The bike comes with a radio, two side panniers and a top box with secure locks. I have also fitted official petrol and temperature guages.Although I regularly touched up the paintwork, it could do some work to restore it to showroom condition. The aluminium engine appearance also could do with some thorough cleaning as you might expect after 22 years.I fitted a second speedometer because of an intermittent fault. I have retained the original unit which shows a mileage of 28607, giving a total mileage of about 45,000. The intermittent fault with the speed/odmeter still occurs and is a common problem with early K100 models. It is possible that the cable should be renewed because of connectivity problems.Although the engine does not leak oil, when I have filled it to normal level after recent oil changes, some has been expelled through the breather tube. I do not know the reason for this and it does X
