the very last 1150 Adventures. It`s a genuine SE model and BMW only imported 80 of these models into the UK. Standard spec included the low first gear option, heated grips, crash-bars and ABS. All SEs were finished in the Alpine White and blue colour scheme. The Servo/ABS has been removed so it`s now running with conventional brakes, which are much better to use. All replacement parts used in the conversion were new, genuine BMW items. Mileage is 45,000 although the wheels and brake discs have only covered about 20000 miles. Both suspension units were replaced under warranty and have only done 7000 miles as I had Ohlins suspension fitted which I have now removed. The catalytic converter and silencer have covered less than 700 miles from new as I removed them and fitted Remus and Akrapovic items. I bought this bike with only 640 miles on the clock, it`s never been commuted on or used through winter as I`ve only used it for Continental touring.It has been recently serviced with new BMW sintered brake pads front and rear, new BMW (Exide) battery, new alternator belt, new front Metzeler Tourance tyre. There is a brand new rear Metzeler Tourance which will be fitted prior to sale. The bike has been 100% reliable, has never let me down, and never had any accident damage. I have had two 1200 GS Adventures before this bike & can say that the 800 rides just as nice and feels very similar power wise. (being a lighter bike) It has been carefully rode aprox 12,000 miles and was purchased specifically to complete the MotoExplorers UK to China ride - on which the bike performed fantastically. It will therefore make a much better bike than other 800`s that have done constant stop start - lower mileages. This bike has basically rode 250-300 miles everyday for 10 weeks! hence it is very well settled and run in now. The bike will ideally suit someone looking to do some long distance or adventure touring. Condition is 100% perfect mechanical, cosmetics just miner scuffs in keeping with an adventure ride. Every possible recall and BMW update was checked and sorted prior to the trip, including; upgrade recall to front axle, ECU updates, upgraded water hose and most importantly!
