If there is an expert who reads this and knows exactly what it is, then please put me right. If I think the expert opinion is right then I will put the information in the questions and answers at the bottom of the page. The machine has come up for sale after being in storage for 13 years. According to a relative of the last owner, the bike was in running condition when it went into storage. There is evidence that some restoration work has taken place. The oil was drained out and the bike stored (the note on the fuel cap is to remind anybody who try`s to start the bike that there is no oil in the engine). If I had a bit more time I would get it running. However I did make a few checks to see how close it is to going. There is a spark at the sparking plugs (after cleaning the points). The fuel has turned to tar in the fuel tank (& probably the carburettor). No fuel has been recently fitted, so no check has been made to see if there are any fuel leaks. I have put oil in the oil tank, however I cannot see any oil returning when pushing the kick-start lever over (it may need bleeding or inspecting).
