had over 2 weeks riding round on one and were blown away by the experience, having been an avid scooter owner over the years I decided to import one of these machines for myself, then I thought why not import more, after careful selection and rejection of quite a few I managed to pick out 6 Vespa scooters and one Lambretta.Here for sale is The Lambretta LI125 Special, this scooter is a 1966 ish Lambretta 125 Silver Special in fabulous bright metallic blue, it has 150 Silver Special on the bodywork and I believe has been modified to a 150 but it is actually a 125 in terms of registration and would be registered as such, therefor making it legal for a learner driver to ride it, it has been fully restored and runs like a dream, it has all the additional chrome trim that makes it look so original and special including the back rack, it has brand new tyres and a spare wheel, it really is a beautiful bike and probably the best out of all of them, please see photographs for more details. He is a Lambretta enthusiast and restored it a couple of years ago. It is a series three with a series two 175 cc engine. Most things are new including the paintwork. It has had a new crank and piston, New seat , Chrome, wiring and is 12 volt and tyres. It needs the side panels painting red which he didn`t get around to doing and the horn cover is missing . a very heavy heart that I have to sell her! I have spent over £6000 on this bike, and I have no regrets, it still looks fantastic, and quality parts are not cheap. I had the bike fully restored at Medway Scooters in 2007, 6 months later and £3700 in cost I got the bike back and she looked great, Old English white accompanied by a 1950`s commercial Fiat green, all in keeping with the period of the bike. You will also notice the seats have been trimmed in the same colour. It has done 970 miles since restoration. I installed a specially designed indicator system which can easily be removed by a purist. The 12 volt electronic ignition is backed up by a battery per the original. This gives lights without the engine running, and stabilises the indicators and lights at low revs. It is registered as Li 125, but the the piston and head assembly are new 150 cc, replacing the original 150 cc head. The engine gears, gear shift components, and bearings where also replaced. She looks really good now. She normally starts first kick against the strong compression, and runs like a lion. A lot of money was spent on her,and I would like to get some of it back. Hopefully someone will enjoy the benefit of my efforts. A deposit of 200 pounds is required, balance on collection. X

the engine has been rebuilt with new bearings and seals, she runs sweet as a nut. has a open 22 mm carb, electronic ignition and 12volt lights. all lights, horn, brake lights, high and low are working, has ignition key on the side and lockable fuel tank all with keys. other features are extended forks, rear gas shocker r1 i think, LED rear lamp, quick release throttle. i have covered only around 15 miles on her but she starts and rides loverly. in my opinion this is a fantastic blank canvas for further customising. The scooter is un registered but comes with a dating cert to comfirm her age (1965) from the vintage motor scooter club. remember as the engine is stamped 125 it will be learner legal. the scooter is located in southampton and will need to be picked up. happy bidding X

number is SX200830189 and frame number SX200830837 (for those of you not in the know these are matching engine and frame numbers). The scooter has been proffesionally owned since 1999 and had one previous owner prior to that. As you can see from the pics the scooter is in very good condition but it sould be noted it is not concourse. The paint scheme is very tastefully done and has been kept in that original `retro 1960`s classic racer style`. The scooter has been featured in scootering magazine by the present owner - albeit in a slightly different guise (not as much gold paint and an inline spare wheel) The engine has a GP200 Gearbox fitted and Rapido 200cc classic barrel. The scooter does come with the original SX200 gearbox but an Italian barrel will need to be sourced for those wishing to put back to the original set up. All in all a very nice clean example. Sidecar for auction. This scooter is complete and ready to go. Is MOT`d and Taxed for 9 months. This scooter and sidecar has undergone a complete restoration. Firstly, the scooter, The scooter is an original Italian series II with all genuine italian parts from CASA. It has been bead blasted back to bare metal, powdercoated, then primed, then three coates of 2 pac then finaly 3 coates of high gloss lacquer. As you can see by the pictures is truly stunning. At the moment I have registration papers for the scooter as a 125, the scooter is a 125 with a 200cc brand new SIL engine. The engine alone cost £650.00 only a few months ago. I do have the original 125 engine casing which matches the frame numbers but as it was very underpowered using the sidecar I replaced it with the 200 lump to give more grunt. The scooter without the sidecar which only takes 10 minutes to take off, is good for 75 mph. However, with the sidecar it will still pull about 65 mph. The scooter has all brand new cables, in fact every single part is brand new and no expense has been spared. Now, the sidecar. The sidecar is an original Watsonian Bambini 1958. This too has undergone a full and complete restoration. The work on the interior of the sidecar was carried out by Chalmwood Sidecar Restorations in Coalville at a cost of £750.00. bottom. it is registered as a 125 but has a 200 cc engine chromed chain cover was a brand new block with an AF big bore exhaust 30mm carb and set up by reed speed it has s1 tyres and a 3 in 1 rack long range tank front dampers 12 volt conversion and all held together with stainless steel nuts and bolts. This scooter has got me to the Isle of Wight and back 3 times.Last year ended up riding home on my own as everybody else fell away. The only real grief it ever gave me was the fly wheel sheared off the boss on the way to a rally. She will easily keep you away from the wagons on the motorway and keep up with the traffic (not that I have ever ridden her on the motorway). I have the registration papers from the lcgb. Now this scooter has got a few marks on here and there but you would have to be standing very close to see them you can see from the pictures that she is still a very clean and good looking scooter only selling because needs must so be nice because there has been a lot of work go into this scooter and will miss her and the fun she has given me. really nice, especially in the sunshine (there is a slight blemish on the left hand panel, but you have to look hard to see it). Tax and MOT til April 2011 Mileage 6800miles All the engine work has been done by Ben at Rayspeed and has recently had a new LTH Reed Valve, 30mm Delorto and 48mm Fresco fitted which cost in excess of £600. Other engine mods include polished ports, uprated clutch, fast flow fuel tap and stronger piston rings. This makes the scoot great for touring and will happily sit at 60mph, two up and still give a return of 50-60mpg. She has never been run on anything but super-unleaded and the best fully synthetic oil. Original Italian Bare metal restoration finished in Lotus old English white and a dark ultra metallic blue. 12 Volt Electronic ignition system. Complete new rubber kit, including new black rubber floor runners. Dark blue seat cover and handle bar grips to match. Rear stainless steel sprint rack, front crash bars included. New oil seals and gaskets. Stainless steel fixing kit used, front and rear Escorts shock absorbers. All wiring fitted by local motorcycle specialist. New speedo, new complete cable set, new NGK spark plug and HT lead, new air filter, new matching steering and toolbox locks, new horn, light switch, front forks fully refurbished, new front and rear brakes, new 32mm Jetex carburetor, front and rear Michelin tyres. Reason for sale is the fact I have completly run out of time due to work and the scooter is now sitting in my garage gathering dust and I need to make some room. The scooter is 100% complete however it will require DVLA registration ( Roughly £90-£100), which I do not have the time to complete. circumstances I just haven`t had the chance to use it this year so I`ve finally decided it`s got to go. The photos tell the story really: it`s a beautiful lammy! I`ve found it to be very reliable and pretty quick for such an old bird (the previous owner told me it had been bored out to a 175cc and I have no reason to disbelieve him!). It`s obviously tax exempt, so that`s a bonus. I have no idea what the true milage is because the speedo was replaced by the previous owner (currently reads 118 miles) and that`s no help because the speedo cable has broken so it`s not clocked up any miles whilst I`ve had it. So the speedo cable needs replacing but that`s all I can think of that`s wrong with it. This isn`t a brand new looking restoration, it`s very clean and tidy but there are a few cracks and imperfections in the paintwork that you`d only notice on close inspection, and it is a 1965 after all! The exhaust looks a bit tatty too but it just needs a coat of paint. Overall it`s a real head-turner. Viewing of the scooter is recommended before buying, please `contact the seller` to arrange a time. Please do not buy if you have less than 98% feedback or less than 10 transactions.
