He had owned the bike for over 9 years and had hardly used it in that time as you can see from the mileage on the mots. He took it for an mot in may 2008 (which it passed with no problems) then he rode the bike 2 miles home and never rode it again! But he did start it every so often and let it run for a while! The bike was always garaged and he never took it out in the rain, even if it looked like it was going to rain he would not go out on it! I bought the bike with full intensions of getting back in to bikeing! All i can say is, it was a good idea at the time! (we all have these good ideas and then the missis gets involved! you know what i mean)!!! When i bought the bike the battery was flat and it was covered in dust, so i bought a new battery, drained the fuel and put some fresh fuel in it and she fired up with no problems so i gave it a wash, pumped the tyres up abit and took it in for an mot and it passed with no problems, even the mot tester was quite inpressed with the bike! the picture and a small crack on the faring, a made up decal on the left side of the seat , the jubilee clip is split on the can but does not reduce the general performance of the bike . I have tried to describe all the bad points .The bike walked its mot and runs like a dream ,it has stainless steel down pipes and I have the original screen if the buyer wants it .The bike alarm was removed but I still have it. The tyres are in good nick and it is mechanically sound .The bad points above have been taken into consideration in the low reserve price. a PSH (documented service book up to 5700 miles) and is M.O.T.ed till June 2011,with 3 months remaining tax.I have only owned the bike for a couple of months but have decided due to family and work commitments to put my biking years behind me. The bike is in excellent condition for it`s age,and is in totally standard condition apart from the after-market double bubble screen (original screen available).There are a few stone chips to the nosing fairing,but nothing to write home about.When i purchased the bike I had a front brake service completed with new pads,a new battery fitted,and two brand new tyres which have covered about a thousand miles (Pirelli Angels).The original tool kit is included,as 2 keys and the bike is also HPI clear. a little run-out, but it passed no problems. It has a Micron Carbon Fibre Oval silencer and a Datatool System 4 Cat 1 alarm and immobiliser with all the correct documentation. The bike was involved in an accident and has been fully repaired. Their is a sticker covering up a scuff on the seat unit, but all other damaged panels, mirror, bar end, footpeg, etc have been replaced. There was a crack on the L/H side of the engine case, by the generator cover, so it has had a strengthening repair, plus a new case, gasket, etc and it is absolutely fine to use. I have taken a couple of close up pictures for you to see, so please do not bid then come and view the bike with the intention of `picking holes` in it. The bike is recorded as a Cat C, but it is so lovely to ride that my father is currently using it as his everyday transport into work!! If the bike does not sell, then i will be taking it on a 1000 mile round trip to Magny Cours in 4 weeks time for the last round of the World Superbikes, so please have faith in the fact that the bike is reliable - i just wanted to be totally open about the accident damage and the consequent repair. We know the previous owner who believe it or not is a 75 yr old pensioner who only rode a few hundred miles on it at less than 70mph before finally accepting his scratching days are over. Only 15200 miles and lightly ridden this is a really nice example and the new owner will not be dissapointed The bike is in absolutely fantastic condition and looks like a much newer bike people comment on the condition every time it is out, due to its age there are however very minor marks but i am being really picky just to be accurate the pictures speak for themselves. The bodywork has been stripped away and the following parts added to make it the bike you see, Single seat unit, Tough and thick fibreglass unit in matt black (would benefit from being sprayed gloss as per the rest of the bike). Rear stop/tail light is sunk into the seat unit, this is a 36 led high intensity light. Both rear indicators are also sunk into the seat unit, clear lenses match the stop/tail light. The front unit is the Raptor, With built in projection lights. These units are for sale on here from £150. Renthal bars have been fitted with 4" risers to give you the full cheeky feel! There are scratches in the rear swing arm where the tax disc was previously placed and scrapped into the swing arm (see picture).
