Crank seals Bearings Oil seal and gaskets Tank sprayed and decaled Side panels rear mudguard painted Since I have had the bike I have bought the elusive tool box cover (not cheap), those in the know are aware these are pretty much always missing, chain and sprockets, rear footpegs. The bike has two bad points, these are: 1) The clutch I feel could do with replacing, bikes changes through the gears no problems, but there is a little difficulty in engaging neutral when the bike is running, and there is a very small bit of clutch drag, only noticeable when accelerating with a bit of gusto, saying that the bike completed the Colombres festival in Spain in October 2009 even carrying a pillion without so much as a hiccup. 2) There is a small weep on the head, I have been informed by the previous owner the thread might be slightly stripped on the cylinder bolt causing the cylinder bolt not to nip up. These two jobs I am more than happy to get done if an acceptable offer is received, but these dont retract from the overall condition of the bike. The frame hasnt been painted but is in very nice condition, the wheels are good as is the exhaust, headlamp, indicators clocks etc. The bike started life in Germany and came into the UK in around 2005/2006 and was sold by Redrose Retro Bikes as a project bike not yet UK registered. can see the bike is presented in the very favourable red white and blue colour scheme which is all original The wheels have been professionally powder coated and have a slight metallic fleck which is only really noticeable in the flesh, these look superb and are very hard wearing (Absolutely no chips or marks to note) The engine casings are 100% unmarked (I am yet to see a CBR400 without scuffs on the engine casings) I have two keys for the bike as well as a folder full of information and receipts The odometer still reads in kilometres which read at 39,000 or 25,000 miles Being a post 1993 model the bike benefits from the later more solid front brake disc rotors, and adjustable forks. under the impresion i was going to keep it forever so i striped it down and started triking her up, We had a new piston fitted full hotrods crank assembly every bearing and seal in the engine new cluch plates ,steels springs and fibers. I sent the rads off to gmx got them seam welded and braced, full new plastic kit with graphics, boysten carbon reeds ,i re-packed the exhaust. the bike has had a recent did oring chain and renthal sprokets. As u cn see by the pictures the bike cums with a full pro circuit pipe and boysten cluch and ignitin covers as well as tallon wheels, The bike is in exelent condition for its age and please feel free to cum and view the bike , i am avalable most of the time. These bikes are known for the bad rust that happens to the front exhaust system. it is from the head to the silencer that goes wrong. so with that in mind my friend bought a stainless steel replacement which has only done light work since installed. that means this bike will have no issues with rust for years. I may as well tell you that the lowest amount this bike will sell for is £1500 as i have agreed to buy it off him if it does not go for more than that. Prior to this bike I had only ever ridden sports bikes and I thought this would be no match in the handling department. Boy was I was wrong even fully loaded up to tour it can still hold it`s own in the twisties. Have ridden down to Spain and back through the Alps and it was a breeze. X

of that time and now I am 40 realise, with help from the wife, that it is actually not going to be used that much ever. It has probably been used a DOZEN times. I have sold a few vehicles on ebay and reckon the best way is to just give the good points and bad points as honestly as I can so there are no surprises on collection. It is a four stroke air cooled engine and a bike that would prosper from regular use (electric start only). The battery needs to be kept topped up if bike is not regularly used. I will throw in a charger! The plastic case that holds the battery cracked so the battery is kept in place with a large jubilee clip. The choke cable needs tightening. The good points. It is a great looking bike that is in perfect working order. It is practically brand new and has hardly been used. Disks on front and back. Upside down front forks. Tyres as new. It is powerful and fast, data included below.
